The Ray Gun Gothic Rocket was de-installed this past weekend after almost three years and two extensions from pier 14 on the San Francisco Embarcadero.
As it was coming down I became interested in the footprint it had left on the pier over the years.
It had been featured several times recently in various media outlets such as Atlas Obsecura, The Black Rock Arts Foundation, and the Awesomer. The deinstallation was also covered by national news.
I will simply say that I am grateful to have been a part of its construction and I look forward to seeing it in a new location. PS, we are looking for a new location, so if you know of one, give us a shout!
