Orbiting Asteroid Moon Base In A Few Years?

Posts like this make me drool.

A team from the Keck Institute for Space Studies (KISS), has proposed a large-scale project that involves capturing, moving and colonizing an asteroid.

The idea is to find a big rock floating around in space, launch a special craft at it and, if it suits the mission, latch onto it and gently guide it into our Moon’s orbit. From there, a base would be built inside the protective asteroid, serving as a springboard for space exploration farther out into the solar system.

My concern about the effects on the tidal rhythms from adding a satellite to our satellite are just slightly trumped by giddy excitement of the notion of having a moon base.
